Our Las Madres Spotlight Blog- Kristi Garg

Because we are a 100% volunteer run organization, our volunteers are vital to making our neighborhood playgroups successful. Without their willingness to go above and beyond, Las Madres would not have such an amazing community spirit. This week we would like to recognize Kristi Garg as the Las Madres Spotlight Member.

Kristi has been a part of Las Madres for about 3 years with her 4 and 1.5 year old girls. She volunteers as the New Member Contact for both 2015 and 2018 South Valley/Almaden playgroups.

During her time in Las Madres, she has made quite the impact! One member said, ”Kristi is always generous and thoughtful, even when she has a lot on her plate. She is kind and always willing to help out a friend. She is one person who goes above and beyond.”

She feels strongly about helping other moms get out of the house and do fun things together to connect by participating in events. After having her first child right out of college, she mentioned that she felt so isolated that first year and Las Madres was a life saver. Kristi has made great friends that she can vent to or get advice from and that has been a huge encouragement for her! These things really capture what Las Madres is all about!

Thank you for all you do, Kristi, it doesn’t go unnoticed!
